Erin Darling is a fierce advocate and skilled trial lawyer with experience in state and federal court. Mr. Darling has successfully represented clients in a range of civil rights and criminal cases. For his civil rights clients, Mr. Darling has won numerous seven-figure settlements. For his criminal clients, Mr. Darling has won Not Guilty verdicts, probation-only sentences, and time-served sentences.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Darling was a Deputy Federal Public Defender in Los Angeles, representing indigent clients facing federal criminal prosecution. Mr. Darling has also helped win a number of civil rights victories while representing farm workers, students, and homeless individuals in three large class action lawsuits while working at Public Counsel. Mr. Darling began his legal career at the Eviction Defense Network, where he successfully represented hundreds of low-income tenants facing eviction.
Mr. Darling is a 2015 winner of the California Attorney of the Year (CLAY) award in Public Interest law.
